Fraternity Music Group is proud to collaborate with Salsoul Records to bring to you two of the most iconic hip hop breakbeats to come from the legendary New York label on one newly remastered 7-inch single. Instant Funk's “The Funk Is On,” produced by Randy Muller (Brass Construction, Skyy, etc.), is not only a tough disco tune but contains one of the great old school b-boy breaks halfway through. The floor-filling classic is presented here in the full-length album version for the first time on 7-inch. Also making its debut on 7-inch is Gaz's “Sing Sing” break, a bubbly midtempo groove that has been much sampled in recent years by everyone from Wu Tang Clan to Kylie Minogue. The full break has never been available on 7-inch and is making its debut here in a DJ-friendly edit by The Undercover Brother.
